The Ashmolean holds a number of objects from the Republic of Ireland including the following:
This gold lunula, is a type of necklace, formed from a flat sheet of gold. It dates to the Bronze Age and was found at Middleton in County Cork (AN1927.2930). Sir Arthur Evans presented it to the Ashmolean in 1927 and forms part of the Sir John Evans collection.
