The Archaeology Data Service (ADS) was founded by a consortium comprising the Council for British Archaeology with a consortium of eight universities. The aim of the ADS is to collect, describe, catalogue, preserve, and provide user support for digital resources that are created as a product of archaeological research. The Archaeology Data Service is part of the Arts & Humanities Data Service .
